The problem
Global Street Art needed a film that showed the work in context and let the artist explain the thinking behind it.
What we made
A documentary-style artist film with subtitles and short social cuts for online sharing.
The result
A piece that introduces the artist, the work, and the culture around it to new audiences.
The background
Street art is usually documented as a finished wall. The thinking, the process and the culture around it go unrecorded.
Global Street Art wanted a film that put the work in context and let the artist explain it themselves.
How we approached it
- We filmed on location during the work rather than after it.
- The artist's voice carries the film; no narrator, no explanatory captions.
- Scale was captured deliberately, so the size of the piece reads on a phone screen.
The results
- 01
New audiences introduced to the artist and the culture
- 02
A piece usable for funding, press and partnerships
- 03
A repeatable format for documenting future works
